Head of Sales (m/f/d)

Here's what your responsibilities in the role would look like
  • Execute and continue to develop our commercial & residential (community) heat sales strategy, to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base
  • Nurture and develop our new business sales pipeline as a player coach
  • Manage the sales & marketing team, ensuring the department is operating efficiently and effectively
  • Lead the end-to-end sales process with corporate clients, from opportunity generation to closing
  • Manage performance against agreed KPI's
  • Report sales & pipeline growth to our group CSO via monthly management meeting.
  • Effectively communicate the value proposition to clients through presentations and demonstrations
  • Cultivate our profile within target markets to become the “go-to” choice when considering the procurement of energy services
  • Utilise technology to increase brand awareness and funnel sales opportunities
  • Lead the process for ista to attend trade shows as an exhibitor and attend as a product and service evangelist
  • Collaborate with internal departments to continually develop effective marketing material and sales supporting documents
  • Build effective and collaborative relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Analysis and evaluation of market developments in the energy sector
What we require of you
  • Knowledge of the energy sector, selling energy services into commercial and residential heat markets
  • Demonstrable strategic thinking skills with the ability to think creatively to develop non-traditional solutions to complex business challenges
  • Experience of presenting to, and influencing, a wide variety of audiences at a senior level with examples of leading lengthy commercial and contractual negotiations
  • Understanding of RFI, RFP, RFQ and ITT with the skill to translate complex concepts and messages into compelling documents
  • Clear commercial mindset, balancing the requirement to deliver value with generating revenue
  • Willingness to travel regularly within the UK, and on occasion, worldwide

  • 22 days holiday per annum (Jan-Dec) rising by 1 day per full year employed until 25 days holiday have been awarded (exc. BH’s)
