Here's what your responsibilities in the role would look like

• Design, develop, and manage scalable web applications using the Laravel framework
• Write robust, effective, and scalable code for both front-end (e.g., Blade components, Livewire, etc.) and back-end components of Laravel-based applications
• Design and develop server-side applications,RESTful APls, and background services
• Develop integrations between systems and third-party APls
• Optimise application performance, scalability, and security
• Work closely with front-end developers to support full-stack development and consistent user experiences
• Interact with SQL databases
• Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, and Agile planning meetings
• Collaborate with DevOps engineers to automate deployments and monitor production environments
• Support the team in transitioning to and optimising cloud-native infrastructure (Currently AWS, migrating to Azure)
• Maintain technical documentation and contribute to best practice sharing across the team
• Identify and fix bugs that are found within code

What we require of you

• 3+ years' experience in back-end development, preferably in a cloud-native or Saas environment and web development using Laravel (12 or higher) or similar PHP frameworks (e.g., Symfony) Strong understanding of PHP (PHP 8.3 or higher) programming, Laravel ORM, and RESTful API development
• Proficiency with front-end technologies such as HTMLS, CSS3 and JavaScript
• Working knowledge of cloud servers such as Azure, AWS, Rackspace
• Familiarity with containerisation and orchestration (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience using Infrastructure code (laC) tools such as Terraform to manage cloud environments and platform configuration
