We ensure that we make it easy for everyone to switch to our sustainable technologies. This allows everyone to make their contribution to climate protection.

As ista, we already have over 45 million wireless devices in operation around the globe and develop solutions for energy-efficient and futureproof buildings. We employ over 6,300 people across 20 countries and our products and services are used in over 14 million homes and commercial properties worldwide – by more than 460,000 customers.     One step ahead

    Oliver Sporrer

    Managing Director

    Oliver Sporrer, has been the Country Manager for ista Middle East since November 2016. He has wide-ranging experience in the metering and submetering industry in the U.S., Europe and the Middle East, having held several management positions: e.g. Director of Operations at ista UK and Branch Manager of Munich at ista Germany. Before starting his career, Oliver Sporrer received his master’s degree In Information Systems at the University of Bamberg.

    Sreenivasa Reddy

    Technical Director

    Sreenivasa Reddy, joined ista ME in 2009, having held several management positions since then. He is a certified Energy Management Professional with a bachelor in Electrical Engineering and a Master in Business Administration. In a career spanning more than 20 years, he gained valuable experience in various fields, including Smart Metering and Energy Management Services. He managed several projects which involved Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) including after sales services in UAE, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman.

    Ameya Hate

    Sales Director

    Ameya Hate, has been with ista ME since 2010 and is heading the sales department since end of 2016. He has over 12 years of valuable experience in technical sales of HVAC and sub-metering solutions in the UAE. He is one of the technical authors in “EmiratesGBC Technical Guidelines for Retrofitting Existing Buildings”. Ameya is a Mechanical Engineer, with MBA degree, a LEED Green Associate and a Certified Professional in Owners’ Association Management.

    Olla Abou Assali

    Operations Director

    Olla Abou Assali, joined ista Middle East in March 2024. Olla is an accomplished professional with a wealth of experience spanning over 20 years. She worked with DUTCO Group, a leading national company for more than 8 years before joining Johnson Controls, where she spent 12 years, most recently as the Regional Sales Operations Manager. She holds a bachelor's degree in management information systems from the engineering faculty.

    Arsalan Abbas

    Finance Director

    Arsalan Abbas, has been with ista ME since 2015 and is heading the finance department since 2020. He started his career with EY and has over 12 years of valuable experience in the fields of Audit and Assurance Services, Business Risk Services, Tax, Financial Accounting and Financial Reporting. Arsalan Abbas is an ICAEW Chartered Accountant, with a master’s degree in Professional Accountancy from the University of London.
